Leaving the city....we want to remember every minute
The city looked so beautiful as the sun went down and the lights went up.
We were so excited to leave for our first bookclub overnight. We got a late start AND we were expecting heavy rains and traffic but nothing could stop us. Do you see how excited we were?
We had a great evening chatting with Franz. We talked about his new book coming out and about our book club. He really is a great guy!
It was such a treat to eat at this fabulous restaurant. The food was delicious and our waiter (third in from the left) was charming!
We were here to see Franz Wisner's wife, Tracy Middendorf in "The Pavilion". It was an excellent show. The three members of the cast were terrific and we were glad we had the chance to see it.
Cameras were not allowed during the performance so we snapped this picture before the show started.
Franz brought us backstage to meet the cast. I think they thought we were a little strange but we loved the whole experience. They welcomed us graciously!
Thanks Dorie for bringing the wine!
Wine, junk food, jammies and girl talk...
Morning came very quickly and we were all up and ready for a day of sightseeing. So sorry to see Laura and Kerrie head home.
We miss you!
Trying not to be the obvious tourist, with guidebook, map and camera all in hand!
Ride the Staten Island Ferry to see the Statue of Liberty
Our first time seeing the Statue of Liberty. She was beautiful. We took many pictures, so enjoy!
(Well, we tried!)
Debris from the attack on the twin towers ruined all around this church, but miraculously the graveyard and church remained intact.
It was such a treat to see this couple take their wedding pictures on the beautiful grounds of Trinity Church!
Bought right on Canal St. Aren't they awesome???
Seeing where the Twin Towers would have been was a sobering experience for all of us. We all toured the gallery there and it was meaningful to all of us, especially after reading The Day the World Came to Town by Jim Defede
The food here was unbelievable! We also loved the atmosphere...eating outside and watching the people walk by.
We were posing for "Law and Order"
We can not wait to visit again!
